About Me

My life revolves around my family and my career. I am currently employed as an Engagement Manager at Cisco Systems. I have also been employed as a Project Manager and Senior Principal at Netscape (now AOL-Time Warner), as well as a Program Manager at Sun Microsystems. I was named HotWired’s “Geek of the Week” back in October 1997.

I am passionate about the Internet and technology. I have freelanced as the Windows guide for About.com when it was The Mining Company (before there were separate categories for Windows 3.1/95/98/NT/2000/XP) and wrote weekly original articles for the site. I am also currently under contract with a major publisher for my first book, which inspired this site! You can find out more about it on Amazon.com and it will be published in January 2008.

On a personal note, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, knitting, and volunteering when I have the time, which is rare these days. I spend a large portion of my time on the Internet and frequent many different sites. Some of the sites I frequent include: Amazon.com, IMDB.com, iGoogle.com, live365.com, KissThisGuy.com, and many more. I am always willing to discuss a good book, an interesting website, or where to get the best coffee. (Yes, I’m a coffee nut!)
